Brian is a a software developer for WideOrbit Inc. located in the Seattle office.
His Bot “Codralis” is based on the simple fact that in order to win you have to kill the other opponents. While it is a very simple code Codralis is able to follow enemies and “attempt” to locate items when needed. Codralis’ basic strategy is to look for “something”. That something can be an enemy, health or ammo. First he checks very broad in front – this allows for tracking. If something is found he will take a finer pass on the frontal view to zero in on it. If what is in front is an enemy he attempts to calculate the location of the feet – that way missing still causes damage. If nothing was found in front he does a quick scan around to look for something. The robot turns to face what he finds and will start to track it. The only real difficulty is in avoiding obstacles – mostly due to apparent bugs in the engine.
